Munich, 08.11.2024: Yesterday, Kitekraft participated in a parliamentarian breakfast at the German Federal Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag). Together with the industry association Airborne Wind Europe and other OEMs, our Co-CEO Florian Stappenbeck (Bauer) discussed adaptations to the regulatory framework for airborne wind energy systems.
Thanks to Mark Helfrich from CDU Deutschlands, who hosted this important event, the sector was able to exchange about airspace integration and the related permitting processes currently limiting airborne wind energy development in Germany. By collaborating with authorities and lawmakers,we can positively shape the way airborne wind energy systems are regulated andguarantee a perfect integration with existing net infrastructure and aviation regulations.
