Munich, 21.11.2024: Kitekraft has entered a development collaboration with Heicks Parylene Coating GmbH. Heicks Parylene Coating GmbH focuses on the permanent sealing of electronic assemblies with extreme requirements. The Parylene coating enables even application to a wide range of materials and hermetically seals the entire surface. The coating is primarily used for high-quality electronic assemblies in the aerospace, medical technology and automotive industries. Special requirements are placed on the resilience of the electronics in these areas. However, components coated with Parylene can be found in a wide range of applications, especially where components are exposed to particularly harsh environments.
These characteristics make Heicks the perfect partner for Kitekraft's Flying Wind Turbines. Currently, the technological development focuses on the 100kW product size kite which is set to enter the market in 2026. Kitekraft is collaborating with Heicks to make the electronics of the kite waterproof and robust against wind and weather -throughout all temperatures. Currently, the test platform is upgraded for long duration flights during all kinds of weather conditions.
